On October 13, 2014, Michigan’s Children in partnership with the Policy Committee of the Black Child Development Institute – Detroit Chapter, organized a FamilySpeak forum focused on two-generation strategies at the National Black Child Development Institute’s annual conference. The FamilySpeak featured organizations in Detroit and Wayne County that serve families with children in a holistic manner; and the families and programs involved spoke before a 30-member listening panel made up of local- and state-level policymakers.
