Pam Cornell-Allen
Pam Cornell-Allen, LMSW and Policy & Program Consultant (she/her)
Pam is a Policy & Program Consultant for Michigan’s Children. Her role includes coordinating the Behavioral Health and Housing Supports for Homeless Youth project, staffing the Michigan Network for Youth and Families Policy and Advocacy Committee, policy analysis, legislative engagement and participating in special projects. Pam holds a Master’s degree in social work and has direct practice experience with children, youth and families in the areas of domestic violence, community mental health, juvenile justice and homelessness.
Both personally and professionally, Pam has always considered herself an advocate. She works to build relationships with people holding diverse identities, and partners with them to elevate voices with lived experience. In her advocacy work, she has developed and supported youth advisory groups and peer education programs across a variety of settings. Pam was a past board member for the Student Advocacy Center of Michigan and the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Parent Council and was a member of the Michigan Homeless Policy Council.
Pam lives in Plymouth with her husband, two teenage children and two dogs. She and her family enjoy nature and the outdoors. Pam currently serves as a board member for Inside Southwest Detroit.
