Meet the staff of Michigan's Children

  Jack Kresnak - President & CEO of Michigan's Children.  He is responsible for overall programmatic and administrative operations of the organization.  Email: Jack Kresnak

  Patricia L. Sorenson, MSW, JD - Vice President for Policy. She is responsible for policy analysis and development on a wide range of children's issues. She monitors the state budget relative to family and children's programs and directs the Budget Watch project. Ms. Sorenson also works extensively with advocacy groups on the development of public policy and advocacy strategies.  Email: Patricia L. Sorenson

 

Cindy Burton, JD - Editor of KidSpeak Neighborhood News.  She oversees the KidSpeak Neighborhood News project, a multi-media, youth-driven information network producing local news about schools and neighborhoods for distribution online as well as through mainstream media.   Chuck Calati - Director of Fund Development & Operations. He is responsible for the administrative/technical support, financial transactions and the day to day operations of the organization.  In addition, Mr. Calati directs all fund raising activities for the organization. Email: Chuck Calati

  Michele Corey - Director of Community Advocacy. She provides intensive technical assistance and support to local community groups by developing local data, creating special reports, conducting training on advocacy skills and assisting with community forums and special events. She, along with partner agencies, develops KIDS COUNT products tailored to local communities and arranges briefings for legislators and other community leaders. Email: Michele Robotham Corey 

  Angelique Day, MSW - Outreach Associate. She is responsible for the Youth Policy Leadership Programs offered by the organization. Email: Angelique G. Day

  Alicia S. Guevara, MPAFF - Policy Associate. She provides support for the work around the state budget and the Budget Watch project, along with other legislative activities affecting children and families.  She also assists with advocacy training for community groups.  Email: Alicia Guevara

Our Mission
Michigan's Children is a statewide, independent voice for children and their families. We work with lawmakers, business leaders, and communities to make Michigan a place where all children have the opportunity to thrive.
Our Priorities
