Michigan and the Nation are undergoing a critical election season, and now is the time to ensure that public officials who represent Michigan constituents put children first!
The children of Michigan will be our future scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers, parents, laborers, artists and elected officials. With our next workforce set to be the most diverse yet, improving outcomes for all children, particularly children of color and children from low-income communities, by strengthening public policies is critical to Michigan’s future economic vitality.
Michigan has a tremendous opportunity to change course and turn the tide of disinvestment in programs critical to the health, safety and education of all our children - our future workforce.
In an effort to make children and families a priority in 2013, Michigan's Children is working with other advocacy partners to inform new policymakers and leaders about the issues, and to provide useful tools and resources for advocacy and education to have your voice heard.

Being an Advocate in the Election & Beyond |
|
Elections provide a prime opportunity to advocate on behalf of children and families. YOU can help candidates step up for kids by educating them on the issues most important for kids in Michigan and building relationships with them that last beyond the elections.
Once in office, these policymakers will be responsible for making decisions related to funding and program development affecting you and your family. It's up to voters to hold policymakers accountable.
