Kids Look to New Legislature for Help

LANSING – On behalf of the nearly 200,000 Michigan kids under age 6 currently living in poverty, the 50,000 Michigan babies born every year on Medicaid, the 40,000 at-risk preschoolers unable to access quality early education because of budget cuts, and the 16,000 students who will drop out before graduating this spring, Michigan’s Children extends a hearty welcome to the new Legislature.
