LANSING – Legislative and business leaders will come together on March 21, 2011 at the HighScope Educational Research Foundation in Ypsilanti to review the latest research on early childhood development and discuss ways to ensure the educational success of Michigan’s youngest citizens.
Lt. Gov. Brian Calley will give opening remarks on the importance of investing in the early years. Legislative co-hosts are Sen. Randy Richardville (R-Monroe), Sen. Rebekah Warren (D-Ann Arbor), Rep. Mark Ouimet (R-Scio Twp.), Rep. Amanda Price (R-Holland), and Rep. Rutledge (D-Ypsilanti). Cohosting from the business side is Phillip Wm. Fisher, secretary of the Fisher Foundation Board and a member of the Children’s Leadership Council of Michigan. |
