KidSpeak 2009

Youths Speak Out on Improving Detroit Neighborhoods

Fears about aging out of foster care, finishing high school, and staying safe while at school were key concerns shared by Detroit area youths at the 2009 Detroit KidSpeakĀ® public policy forum at City Hall.

About 40 young people from The Skillman Foundation’s Good Neighborhoods within the city of Detroit spent the day educating local and state policymakers and other community leaders as to how they can work together to improve life inside Detroit neighborhoods and schools.
