On October 05, 2009, Wedgwood Christian Services partnered with Michigan's Children and several other local agencies, including CW 360 and Light House, to host a Youth Voices Changing Public Policy event (YVCPP) to highlight the innovative strategies the agency uses to ensure the foster care youth, teen parents, juvenile offenders, and youths struggling with substance abuse are able to succeed in their educational goals. On May, 18, 2009 Arbor Circle hosted a YVCPP in partnership with Michigan's Children and several other local partners including Our Communities Children, the Kent County Michigan Youth Opportunity Initiative, and Western Michigan University to showcase the educational challenges that foster care youth and homeless youth face in their transition to adulthood. |
