LANSING, MI – In response to a very difficult financial situation, the Board of Directors for Michigan’s Children today announces the implementation of a Restructuring and Rebuilding Plan. The plan includes the layoffs of three program staff members and the Fund Development Director.
“It is with great sorrow and regret that we must say goodbye to loyal and talented staff members who have shown strong commitment to making Michigan a place where every child has the opportunity to thrive,” said the Honorable Judge Patricia Gardner of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court and Chair of Michigan’s Children Board of Directors. “We also deeply regret disappointing the foundations and corporations who have generously supported our work for nearly 20 years. We always have strived to exceed their expectations.” |
